Auburn University at Montgomery

Auburn University in Montgomery (AUM) is a school funded by the mixed state located in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. It is administered by the Board of Trustees Auburn University, and is a cause branching Auburn University. It was built by a demonstration of the Alabama Legislature in 1967. AUM offers study projects that caused bachelors, masters and professional degrees in business, education, human sciences, nursing and science. The university enrolls more than 5,500 alternates, with an extra 10,000 selected to undertake training programs. In January 2007, the university moved to Auburn Montgomery marked.

History

AUM was established in 1967 by Act 403 of the Alabama Legislature. In March 1968, Dr. H. Hanly Funderburk, Jr., was named vice president and chief supervisor recently made college. AUM opened its entries in September 1969 with nearly 600 deputies in the old Alabama Extension Center on Bell street, Maxwell AFB. After two years, the school moved to a section 500 of land (2.0 km2) land in the tract McLemore Plantation, 7 miles (11 kilometers) east of downtown Montgomery. The most prominent certifications four years are granted business organization (25 percent), nursing (13 percent), aesthetic sciences (9 percent), science (8 percent) basic training (7 percent) and instruction assistant (7 percent). AUM offers a doctoral program set Auburn University in Public Administration.

AUM has a procedure with the training program that selects more than 10,000 annual alternates.
